I'm sorry but "recreational use" is not what the framers intended. I noticed obama making the same false statement last night as did bubba many years ago wihen he said "nobody ever missed deer season while I was governor". The framers had just spent a long time and expended a lot of blood to throw the Brits out of this land and found a new gov't. They didn't want US to have to do it again, so they encoded our God given right to self defense against tyranny in the constitution. It should come as no surprise that the rate of mass shootings at schools and in other public places is increasing. The surge has nothing to do with guns, which have been widely available in the U.S. for years. Gun control laws have been increasing. Instead, there is a direct correlation between the increase in violence and the gradual degradation of morals, ethics and parenting. We are cultivating mental illness in our society.
