GOP Solution: Stick to Values, Pick Better Candidates

Look folks it’s time to take the bitter medicine and let the Dems have everything they want. If we have a strong showing in the midterms and shut Obama down and things improve then Biden or H Clinton or whoever bound into the White House in2016 taking credit for it like Bubba did in the 90’s. If we have a strong midterm showing and things get worse the Dems can blame the evil Republicans also pushing a Dem into the white House in 2016. We need to hunker down and stay home during the midterms, let them own the destruction once and for all. During the bad years we can fan out and educate. Even the media, missing the ratings boosting controversy, will seek out Republicans for comment giving us the opportunity to preach against socialism.

Terrible idea. We need to start fighting back NOW, not just do this rope-a-dope strategy you're proposing. We have a country to save!

I know it will never happen we’ll continue to celebrate small victories in the face of overwhelming defeat.

These are days of hindsight and second-guessing for Republicans, which is human nature after a trauma like this election loss.

There are million “why” theories out there, from the Hurricane Sandy effect to pernicious media bias. Wringing our hands over those factors gets us nowhere.

We can’t stop hurricanes, and media bias is always there. Reagan and Bush 43 won twice against waves of poisonous bias, so that is not an insurmountable obstacle.

What Republicans need is a slate of candidates that can energize the base while expanding the appeal of a conservative message.
