The rich should compensate society for what, creating jobs, hiring people, or providing growth capital? Are these things now illegal in the U.S.? Should we set up a government run board to monitor and punish success? If anyone should compensate society is should be the poor for taking welfare, housing, food stamps and for not contributing to the GDP and for the high cost of crime in poor neighborhoods.
