My DOB in 1924 allowed my teachers to explain that Social Security would destroy the country. She did not call it a Ponsi scheme! She said that: It would deceive workers by believing that the government would invest the money better than the workers. It would rob them of experience of saving and investing. The employer's contribution amounted to forcing employers to raise their wages. ... And all of the other bad things that are happening because of the unconstitutional transfer of wealth (theft) from the workers to other people. Teachers may no longer mention the Constitution and their right to carry arms to defend themselves and protect others (a civic duty of the militia). At what age do the students become eligible?

I wish Obama and the Democrats could be as passionate about jobs as they are about, say, the contents of Happy Meals. Or the dust from cement factories. Or the habitat of the red-cockaded woodpecker.

While the wizard of DC remains a master of illusion and delusion, focusing everyone’s attention on the man behind the curtain- and his 20 Little Martyrs- the jobless recovery now enters its fifth year with no signs that hiring will be picking up soon.

So instead of worrying about the peckers, I wonder about the 12 million martyrs who remain unemployed. And the 3.6...
