So anyone who disagrees with the gay lifestyle and speaks against it is a "bunch of overly pious, self righteous blowhards"? Do you see what you're doing there? You are demonizing a group that has literally done NOTHING but voice an opinion which conflicts with your own. Has the FRC thrown bricks containing threats through windows? Has it trespassed on any LGBT-owned properties and staged demonstrations that are offensive to that group? Has it even labeled groups such as GLAAD as "hate groups"? The answer is no. Look in the mirror ... the answer of exactly who is promoting violence is staring right back at you.

Please quote exactly in the Scriptures where God approved polygamy. The Bible *I* read defines a marriage as being between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, 1 Timothy 3:2 & 12, Titus 1:6) and even commands the kings of Israel (who were to be role models for the people) to only marry one wife (Deut. 17:17). As for Mormonism, it is a cult which sprang from true Christianity; but in any event, mainstream Mormons have disavowed polygamy as they recognize the Scriptures command one spouse.

1) at this time, there is no evidence Holmes is mentally ill. To the contrary, he planned this in a very sane way. Simply because he acted in a way that showed reckless regard for human life does not mean he is, de facto, mentally ill; and 2) yes, violence is common all over the world. But if you think the level of violence that is seen today is comparable to what was seen in this Country 200 years ago -- or even 100 years ago -- you are burying your head in the sand. What we are witnessing is a downfall of civilization that is characterized by cold heartedness, egotism, hatred, greed and many other negative character flaws. The cause of this can be debated. But to act as if the problem does not exist is simply foolish.

I guess I'm a pessimist, but this is one of the reasons I do not believe we will see any further influential revivals here. May God have mercy on us all as the birth pangs grow more and more painful.

I don't believe there is one whit of evidence that homosexuality is genetic. This viewpoint conflicts with Romans 1 as well as the fact that we are NOT born sinners ... we are born to commit sin.

Lemmi, I'm sorry for your handicap, but what most of us don't understand is *why* handicapped people who are able to skate and walk through an immense shopping mall (for example) state they need special accommodations when parking at a skating rink or a mall? Doesn't it make sense that, if you can do these things, you are just as capable as everyone else to walk to the entrance from anywhere in the parking lot? Of course, I am *not* including those who are in wheelchairs; they do deserve accommodations.
