There's not a snowball's chance of anything even remotely connected to "shared sacrifice" passing into law as long as we have Reid and Obama in control of the Senate and White House. The pols won't even suffer the consequences of the laws they've already passed (i.e. sequestration); what makes anyone thing that they'll actually do anything now? Until we have or own "Greek Moment" (or Spanish or Irish or Japanese or... whichever moment) nothing about our out-of-control spending and debt is going to change. The majority of Americans simply don't care or don't understand. The prog-libs in the Democratic party have won the war for the heart's and minds of the government dependent. Like all addicts, they deny the problem.

The president could break the logjam in Washington and move toward a solution of all budgetary problems if he merely asked every American to contribute 2 cents.
