What he does is a reflection of his true nature and the true nature of all the other prog-libs who also believe as he does. You can't separate the man's actions from the man's true nature. If you try, you wind up like O'Reilly here - just another confused moral relativist.

Of course they knew. Obama & Co. try to have it both ways - On the one hand, they're hapless "victims" of some nameless IRS bureaucrat's incompetent initiative, and on the other hand they're the omniscient crafters of the New Social Order and Obamacare. What's equally clear is that Hillary Clinton and all the Democrats that have followed in her footsteps since she was a Watergate investigator have learned to cover their tracks and keep all incriminating communications verbal - nothing in writing or - God forbid! - on tape. Of course Obama knew what his Treasury Department and IRS were up to. Finding written evidence of that, though, will as hard as finding unicorns.

The fundamental problem is that Small Men run Big Government, small men who are almost exclusively unionized, prog-lib Democrats. These people will always seek more power, attempt to grow their bureaucracies, and tax at ever greater levels. They are true believers and followers of "leaders" like Obama and his political appointees. The Small Men who run Big Government don't need explicit instructions in order to know what they should do to please their prog-lib masters. They will always use their initiative to abuse their power and status as "public servants," pursuing their personal and political agendas. That's the "there there" of this situation.

An independent special counsel will not accomplish anything. Just like the Whitewater independent counsel and its interminable "investigations," the Democrats will stonewall and obfuscate and lie and cover-up. An independent special counsel will only move all of this even further back from the front pages. In the end, what will be the result? Absolutely nothing. Obama & Co. will never be held accountable. He's already been re-elected, so any revelations about these abuses of power, that might have made a difference a year ago, will be swept under the rug by the media. Congress and the GOP can either strike now while the iron is hot or pass the buck to a "special" investigation. The witnesses are on the stand right now.

Bill, Bill, Bill... You need to get past the superficial and seek the common and fundamental roots of all of these failures by Obama & Co. What do they all have in common? All of these issues, and more, are the predictable results of prog-lib world-view that places themselves, their "leadership" and ever-larger government above the liberties of their fellow man. These issues are all failures of Big Government run by small men. Just like Marxist-Leninism was doomed to fail because it was founded on sand, so are Obama and his followers doomed to fail over and over because of their faulty view of what makes the world and the people in it work. The president and his prog-lib supporters can never be successful because their actions and goals ignore reality. They can force people to act a certain way, but they can never build a self-sustaining society in the image they want because the natural tendencies of free-will and the desire for liberty will always push back as soon as government pressure and force are removed or relaxed. Small men in Big Government will always abuse their power and pursue their personal agendas and create the messes that we have seen so clearly over the entirety of the Obama administration.

Since the first village medicine man promised rain and bountiful crops, Democratic politicians and their minions have been perfecting the tactic: "Deny everything [including knowledge]; make counter-accusations; demand proof; and lie." We can only hope that sooner, rather than later, the villagers are gonna bring out the metaphorical pitchforks and torches and finally serve this latest bunch of prog-libs their just deserts.

The impossibility of "universal" background checks applied at a single state's level illustrate the even greater impossibility of imposing them nation wide. The gun control prog-libs are setting themselves up for failure and will make Colorado an example for the entire country to see just how stupid (impractical and unenforceable and useless) their goals really are.

"The folks in charge are freaking hypocrites..." No, John, they're not "hypocrites," they're cynical liars who fully understand that they're advocates of philosophies and policies that ultimately serve their own self-interests. Their minions might be hypocrites because they realize that they can't live and act according to their own words, and the people who blindly follow and vote for them are fools selling themselves into neo-slavery. But the ones at the top... lying cynics the lot.
