What Happened, Mr. President?

It’s as simple as ABC A. You cannot succeed in Chicago politics with good character. B. People do not change character once they are elected to office. C. Those you lead follow your example.

Funny, I don't remember people saying "what difference does it make" about the Valerie Plame leak. And she wasn't even harmed.

The mother of one of the dead State Department employees, said that both Hillary and Obama told her face-to-face that this was all about the video FOUR DAYS AFTER THE ATTACK. Is there no shame in the White House?

Words That Replace Thought

You're proving Dr. Sowell's point. Why is diversity a "desirable means"? Why would you "not want any candidate excluded on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or indeed, even religion or political orientation"? I understand that's an emotional feeling you have, but what EVIDENCE do you have that that criterion helps you achieve the result your team is after?

Liberals discovered long ago what my debate coach told us on day one: If the facts aren’t on your side, go with an emotional argument and impugn the character of your opponent. It’s not always effective in debate competition, but it’s quite effective when your audience is composed of average people

Is Thinking Obsolete?

The left has long understood a basic fact: That when your positions can't survive logical argument you seek to take over the indoctrination of the children. Once you have stamped out their thinking, you don't have to deal with dissonance. Worked in teh Soviet Union. Worked in Mao's China. Worked in East Germany. It's working here.

The Art of the Impossible

You miss the point -- which is to be able to feel good about your INTENTIONS The action doesn't have to actually achieve the intended result for you to feel good. When you put a dollar in the Salvation Army red kettle, you feel good about helping the poor (even if the person were to steal it). When you pass gun control legislation you feel good about it stopping gun violence (even though it won't). When you pass Obamacare you feel like you are making health care more affordable (it is, after all, called the Affordable Health Care Act, isn't it?). It's all about FEELINGS, Dr. Sowell. Get with the program. That's why people voted for President Obama --- because they thought he cared more about them than Mr. Romney.

'Right Wing' Doesn't Equal 'Terrorist'

How can you call Adolph Hitler "right-wing"? He favored central government control over virtually everything in German life. That's a characteristic of the LEFT-WING. The right wing favors personal liberties -- something Hitler abhorred.

You cannot separate people into groups and give privileged status to some of them based on groups identity. Unless of course they are blacks applying for jobs or college admissions.

Why do you think doctors prescribe placebos to patients? Because, although they have no real effect, people say that they feel better have taking them.
