Anytime the feds start giving away money (especially in the billions), you can be sure that there will be many who take the money and don't need it. And I'm not talking about JUST the "poor renter", but the rentees as well. How much of this money ends up with how many apartment OWNERS? I seem to remember that Obama's shadow (Valerie Jarrett) owned government assisted housing in Chicago. How many millions did she "steal" from the government only to have the housing end up in distress? Just wondering...

Shaun Donovan, secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, says, "The single most important thing HUD does is provide rental assistance to America's most vulnerable families -- and the Obama administration is proposing bold steps to meet their needs." They always propose "bold steps."

In this case, HUD wants to spend millions more to renew Section 8 housing vouchers that help poor people pay rent.
