What do we do with the millions of illegal aliens already here? There have been many suggestions from immediate deportation to immediate and unconditional amnesty. Illegals should NOT have access to government benefits EVER, no matter their future status. If they wish to become legal, they need to return to their country of origin and apply like those who chose to emigrate legally. I would welcome sanctions on employers of illegals as well. Cutting off work and benefits would cause many illegals to self-deport. Those who have been here for decades should have an option to become legal resident aliens, but should NEVER be allowed full citizenship (their price for entering illegally). I would like to hear other suggestions.

There's a lot to be said for talking about the Constitution, economic theory and what's best for the country. However, one place we conservatives have slipped in recent years is framing our policies in a way that answers the very first question on the mind of most voters, "How does this benefit me?"

That needs to change.
