If the Income Tax doesn't totally P/SS you off, then you probably don't even file. NOW is the time for the Fair Tax, a much better way to fund the federal government without giving the politicians so much power over us. Wouldn't you rather keep all that you earn, and pay your taxes when you buy stuff (very similar to your state's sales tax, but not quite)?

Get rid of income tax, estate tax, capital-gains tax, property taxes, surcharges (which, for ex., account for about HALF of the price of a gallon of gas) and replace it with a sales tax, evenly divided between cities/counties, states, and the federal government, which will also get us back to federalism.

After taxing my money before I get it, what right does the government have to tax it again before I give it to my heirs?

The only right they have is the one they say they have, and we don't do anything about it...time for a peaceful revolution. After all, they (politicians) are very revolting.

Today is the 100th birthday of the income tax. On February 3, 1913 the 16th amendment was ratified, which enabled the establishment of the federal income tax. This is ever in our mind as tax season is now upon us.

Look at this graphic that Americans for Tax Reform released in honor of the 100th anniversary:
