People willingly give the most personal info to facebook/linked-in/twitter, etc for free, so those companies can sell it to the highest bidder. In that environment I would be surprised if they care if the FBI or other 3-letter agencies are also getting it all. And BTW, what exactly is an "unpaid social liaison"?

That's a good question. Just read on Drudge that she has been calling the police to complain about people in her front yard that won't go away, and she said something about diplomatic protection. The cars at the home have "honorary consul" license plates. It's possible she is a citizen of another country.

They found the biographer/mistress' drivers license in the park today. The same park they found Chandra Levy's body.

It's all strange.

Retired, four-star Army Gen. David Petraeus is paying the price for his hubris in much the same way as did the mythical figure Icarus who, like Petraeus, thought himself invincible but discovered otherwise when he flew too close to the sun before crashing back to earth. The now-retired CIA Director flew not too close to the sun, but rather ignored basic rules of secrecy, and ran afoul of the virtually limitless powers of surveillance we have placed in the hands of the FBI and other government agencies.

Like former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer before him, Petraeus’ sexual peccadillos were unmasked...
