Of course that was the goal. Obama said that it was the goal back in 2007. Prior to that, he said that he desired to get to a single-payer system. They knew the mess this was going to cause. They aren't stupid.
To quote Obama's mentor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, "America's chickens have come home to roost." This is what happens when most voters are low-information voters and the press is a bunch of corrupt shills.
Oh, have no fear, the GOP will still get the blame...and the idiot public will buy it hook, line, and sinker.
All I'm seeing in the comments is denial. I'm not saying conservatives should do anything different, but we need to face the fact that most voters have become low information voters and, frankly, when it comes to wooing them, the Dems have a far more appealing story to tell and a complicit media not willing to call them out on it. Not sure how to fix that...there is such a permanent Dem voting bloc that unless Republicans can manage to win 3/4 of the independents we won't win national elections. It's awful, but it's the unfortunate state of our society and culture.
Denial ain't just a river in Egypt...the problem is that MOST people don't pay attention. Not sure how we change that.
He won't apologize because he won't have to. The media will never force him to apologize as they would a Republican.
I totally disagree that most of the country said, "Good luck, idiots." A HUGE chunk of this country is cheering this all the way. Otherwise, Obama would be polling at 30% or less.

Well, for starters, we should never send another scrap of food aid to that country. Anybody who thinks the food actually goes to people like Shin are completely fooling themselves. By sending it, we (and the world) are doing nothing more than providing rations for their military.
