The same study cited also explained why Latinos hated Repubs - because of BRANDING. When asked whether they agreed with specific values, Latinos - like most Americans - agreed with mostly conservative values. The problem is two fold and simple: The Left controls the branding, so that Conservative Republicans can be labeled as something they're not, and second, too many Repubs are not really conservative. The entire Leftmedia propaganda campaign has to be defeated, and to do that you have to have rock solid conservatives who cannot be pushed off message or go squishy. The message on immigration is simple too: we can solve all the illegal immigrant problems once we 1) Control our border (i.e enforce existing law instead of suing those who enforce it) and 2) change immigration policy so that we are allowing immigration advantageous to the USA. Until those changes are made, everything else should be off the table.
" Phone records -- as opposed to the content of phone conversations -- are not private under the Fourth Amendment." I'm sorry - where are phone records and conversations mentioned in the Fourth Amendment? I'm sure the Bill of Rights has stipulations for using Google and Facebook personal data to focus campaigns as well.

"we'd by now be asking who is & isn't a "news organization" & thus picking & choosing arbitrarily who gets to speak before an election," It wouldn't be arbitrary. already the propaganda machine of the current regime has decided that any voice outside of TASS is not 'the press.' In other words, Faux News, conservative websites, and talk radio are all illegitimate. We're all getting a pretty good glimpse what it was like in the Soviet Union - if you are in the party, you're in good shape; outside the party, you're going to be dealt with harshly. Just wait until they compile internet, phone records, etc. into your profile and use that information to decide whether you get healthcare procedures or not. Regardless of who is in the administration, that's where we're headed, and fast.

"The Washington Post's Bob Woodward has no more rights than my dentist." Man, Jonah falls ont the slippery slope pretty easily. "My Dentist has no fewer rights than Bob Woodward" it should read, and you shouldn't need special laws to protect those rights: "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble"
KHAAAAAAAAN!!!!!! KHAAAAAAAHN!!!!!
never fear, anonymous11042; google and/or yahoo has sent your login information to the Obama adminstration. Consider yourself on notice.
the amazing thing about all the lies and scandals is that there will be no consequences to Obama and his administration. Everyone keeps their jobs - or keeps getting paid leave, or gets promoted, and the regulators keep writing regulations, bypassing Congress. Banana Republic, indeed.
McCain is a fool. Hey John, that's THE TRUTH, not just an "apparently accurate statement"
Everyone send a picture of a gun to the school. I'm sending a picture of a standard issue WWII semi-automatic M1 Garand rifle. These people are insane. I mean it, they are insane.
when will the workplace violence stop? When we get the guns.

Government is increasingly the enemy of the people, increasingly because it is increasing in size and scope of activity. The founders knew that government is the enemy so that it must be kept small and as much as possible, local. Almost everything the modern liberal stands for involves an overreaching federal monstrosity that controls everything, and is accountable to nothing but special, monied interests.
