Yes, that is strange, and I suspect pundits will eventually figure out what happened. I personally think it is incumbency + racism. They voted for him because they didn't want to be mean to the black guy even though they know he is incompetent. He is the Affirmative Action President.

No, Ras was not R+5. Ras and Gallup released a last-minute report showing a discrepancy between the 2008 and 2012 partisan breakout, but they did not use it in their sampling.
