I agree but must add that it is a covenant between a man, a woman and GOD. Very important to remember where all this Marriage hub-bub came from... God.
We apply the logic of homosexual marriage being a civil rights issue to these other "relationship combinations" to illustrate the point, not necessarily because it is a foreseeable movement. Why can't children marry one another? How about teens? What about two brothers? There is no risk of deformed offspring... so why not? What about first cousins and brothers/sisters if they promise to not conceive, or abort any child who is conceived? What about mothers and daughters? Fathers and sons? WHY does the above ridiculous list of relationship combinations offend even the homosexuals? BECAUSE IT IS WRONG. So you see, homosexuals are wrong, but they have convinced enough powerful people that they are not wrong. Or should I say, enough people who want their votes have said the right words, promised "hope and change" and in exchange for the new laws they have won those votes. Let's not kid ourselves, we all know what this is about and it has NOTHING to do with civil rights.
Amen. Compassionate conservatism sounded so good, it was a comfortable message that resonated with average families. The truth is there is no compromise when it comes to logic and information. We must be informed, we must be aware of the truth, we must pursue the knowledge and the truth and not easily be led down the garden path by these false conservatives. You know what's sad and scary, as best I can tell it looks like the electorate in spite of Obama's terrible record so far, the majority are already getting excited for Hillary. God help us all. Where is our champion? Ron Paul gave up... Rand Paul seems to be a mystery, who knows what he really believes... so who can we get behind? Who will stand up and tell the TRUTH to the people and do the RIGHT thing?
I can't join him either. GWB as a conservative simply fell flat. I was so excited when he won the 2000 election, after 8 years of Clinton I was so excited to have a real "Texas Conservative" in office. And then for 8 years I watched in horror as he broke all the rules in the Conservative books. From monetary policy to social policy to foreign policy he missed the mark on all fronts. The fuse for the GFC of 2008 was lit by Clinton, that is a fact, but for nearly 8 years GWB stood by and simply waited for it to all fall apart as it inevitably had to do. The only "Thanks" GWB deserves is for getting out of the way and keeping his mouth shut for the most part since he left office. I respect him for that. And Obama is so so so much worse.

12) the definition of marriage is not a subject up for debate or re-definition or opinion. It IS a CHRISTIAN covenant between the husband, the wife and GOD. That is Marriage, and two men, two women, a man and two women, cousins, brothers/sisters are not OFFERED that covenant. This nonsense is a vial stench in the nose of a vengeful God. Remember that in the years to come.

So true, and the likes of Ron Paul and even Rand Paul are sidelined as extremists or kooks. If people even took a small portion of time to learn true conservative values and vote/govern accordingly we would be in a GREAT place. It is just too tempting for the average person to be persuaded by the box of goodies offered at every election by the liberals and even the current GOP. It is so sad that people will quite literally sell their vote for a perceived entitlement they stand to "gain".
This should not be a surprise, the left has no regard for the constitution and in fact are offended by it, as evidenced in this case.

I'm a conservative and I love America, and I can promise you that at various points in my life I have muttered similar words... it doesn't mean anything and I don't think we need to make it into something it's not. Let's not deteriorate and start nit-picking about every silly little thing a liberal says. It's not like it was Obama that said it.
What no liberals or homosexuals to speak up and defend this activity? Come on I know you're out there, you troll around commenting on all the other articles... nothing to say about this?

No way that is just CRAZY talk, what are you some sort of nut job who is awake and aware of your surroundings or something? Maybe raised in a decent home where you were taught a bit of common sense, some ethics and morals perhaps?? Tsk tsk we're going to have to work on you... this is just no good, no good at all.
