Can Romney Show Voters That Obama Is Out of Date?

Hoover had extensive executive experience as did Carter. Gingrich has had executive experience in both the public (he was second in line for the presidency when he was speaker) and the private sector through his corporations. Romneey's executive experience includes his time as a mediocre governor (he destroyed those records), while heading the Olympics (with $1.5 billion in taxpayer subsidies), and while at Bain. Romney has refused to make public his turnaround experince at Bain, but there are public records of taxpayer bailouts and subsidies at the federal, state, and local level. And the LBOs (also known as corporate raiding) made Romney millions from differences in the tax code.

Time for a postmortem on the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

Yes, I know Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich are still out there saying interesting things. And that Rick Santorum says it's only halftime and argues he can somehow overtake Mitt Romney by carrying his home state of Pennsylvania.

But polls there show a close race. And the idea that, if Romney falls short of a delegate majority, superdelegates will throng to a proudly unscripted, shoot-from-the-lip alternative is delusional.

The interesting questions are what the primaries and caucuses tell us about the state of the Republican Party and about Mitt...
