Meanwhile, the Feds take over more and more western lands every owning more than 50% in some states. Now that they own it, they are shutting down our access to it...we're not even allowed in! Who gave the Feds the right to own our lands anyway?

Well, it's theirs to begin with, right? The Federal Government got it from the Native Americans (one way or the other), and then sold it, granted it, or allowed it to be homesteaded.

(Except in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where the Commonwealth made a point of BUYing the land from the Iroquois (etc.).
