Yes it is the worst thing that ever happened to the school system. The worst thing about it is it puts the teachers and the administration on an adversarial position.

I agree that much of this discrimination is about the Unions not about the students. But good teachers spend on average 60 to 80 hours per week during the school year and untold hours during the summer directly related to their teaching assignment. Unfortunately the general public only counts the hours that the teacher is with the students not the countless hours of preparation and evaluation. Here in California I went to school in the best system in the US. Now is something like 48th. I think that the change came with the complete takeover by the state in the name of equality and the final blows were Unionization and busing Students for equality.
The question is not if a person can use birth control or have an abortion but who is going to pay for it. I think that neither I nor any one else should be forced to pay for others choices. I am allowed to own a gun. Should you have to buy me one?
Did you read my post ? Your response in no addresses it.
I do not see how the government can require any citizen to purchase for another person that which is against their religious beliefs. Is it not similar to those who conscientiously object to war refusing to bear arms? I believe that women have the legal right to both birth control and abortion but they do not have the right to make me pay for it.
