" In March 2007, Federal Board Chairman Bernanke -- no liberal he " If Bernanke isn't the definition of a liberal, there is no such thing! Libs believe an all powerful government can create a utopia, same as Bernanke's suicidal monetary policy. Oddhat, I find it interesting that you continue to counter your own illogical arguments!

Yes, the Tea Party does hate- socialism and barriers to economic freedom. As a proud Tea Party member I've never seen any member advocating violence as we have seen from Obamunists, Union thugs, Occupiers, and the Hollywood elitists.

IT's 46 million total, including children. Way too many.

Republicans Do Have Leverage; Use It!

Agree, so why not give the Dems their way this year and announce to the world that this is Obama's economy. When things unravel- as anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of economics knows is inevitable, we can have ALL the leverage in the next budget debate. If there is a single republican fingerprint on this- it will be portrayed as the fault of Republicans. Let the Dems own it!

We keep lamenting the fact that Reagan isn't around to articulate our position. While I don't envy the position John Boehner is in, this is the job he signed on for! Does anyone really think he is the one who can school a predominantly ignorant public on basic economics? Granted, it is an uphill fight when you have the waste stream media and the late night comedians working overtime to distort your message, there has to be someone out there with the charisma and wit to get the point across. Someone, somewhere.... Ronnie how could you leave us?????
Jonah, you are dead on. I have heard people of all persuasions lamenting the fact that we are so polarized as a nation- and why can't there be more compromise. Unfortunately, that's precisely what got us where we are. Hayak was correct in that we have been dragged further and further from our core principles in an effort to bring peace through compromise. We need more Republicans who will, rather than fight, just agree with Dems there is a problem but that it is a fight the states need to address. The one size fits all solutions that the federal government imposes do not work on minimum wage, schools, energy, social security or health care- just to name a few.

I'm with you on that. Vouchers would give us true choice and much improved schools. Unfortunately, Dems don't buy into the concept of free markets and its offspring- capitalism.
Rowly, you are exactly right. O'Reilly may be entertaining, but he is a big government blowhard. He even applauded Bloomberg's attempts to control what people eat and drink because "society has to do something" he said.

People who understand basic economics are called Republicans or Libertarians. Dems do not understand supply/demand much less the Laffer curve. If they did, they wouldn't be Democraps. Give Obama what he wants on the budget and taxation and let's see how the media tries to blame Republicans in the next election cycle. Republicans need to continue placing ads on TV and Radio educating the public on the results of disastrous Democrat economic policies.

I've been saying the same thing ever since the election. The more Republicans fight Obama on raising taxes "on the rich" the more the media will blame Republicans for the inevitable disaster. For Dems, it's not about increasing revenue though, it's about envy and punishing success. We're going to have to go along for the next two years so it can be demonstrated that Robin Hood economics does not work.
