I was going to post the same thing. There ought to be a law (yes I really said that!) that somebody who has been through and failed the confirmation process CAN NOT renominated or recess appointed. That is what happened with one of his other nominees (I think NLRB guy.) Once rejected, you are OUT!

I am tired of hearing that various writers/commentators disagree with Phil's choice of words. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade or an anus or anus to get peoples attention. And frankly using these terms got ALOT of attention and doesn't anus sound a lot more disgusting than inocuous "man-sex"?

The best column I have read regarding the travesty being foist upon us. Excellent arguments Mr. Sowell!
I understand your point but we have tried that before and look where it has gotten us. Until the vote fraud is addressed we cannot win. Just can't.
I respect your question. I did not like McCain for a lot of reasons but I did as I was told and voted for him. I did again with Romney. There are some things I will give on and others I will not ever again. Letting illegals stay for no good reason is one of them. I will also quit voting for Senators (any of them) that will vote to confirm an OBVIOUSLY bad nominee for a cabinet position (see Brennan, Kerry and Hagle) just because they "serve at the pleasure of the POTUS". There is a reason the Senate was given the power of advice and CONSENT. Voting for somebody that is not only unqulified but clearly dangerous to our country is wrong and immoral and against their oath of office. Rand Paul did just that. Shame really.
I think RP is one of the best things to happen to the GOP since Sarah Palin. That said, I am adamantly opposed to "a pathway to citizenship" or giving legal status to any illegals period end of story. Anybody with an ounce of sense knows that the second any legislation is passed to give them "legal status", they will automatically be signed up as dems and registered to vote. You know it, I know it and the dems especially know it. But also, it is rewarding illegal behavior. Giving "dreamers" a pathway to citizenship is also rewarding illegal behavior. It will only encourage more illegals to come here with their children assuming they will also get the same treatment.
Thanks Becca, but I don't think I'm buying that. It does sound plausible but I'm still not buying it. That is too excessive.

Rules for Addressing Amnesty

The most intelligent column I have read on this subject so far! The very best line: "the essence of amnesty is to "reward them with the objective of their crime" Thank you Ms. Schlafly!
Can somebody please tell me how on earth it costs 7 mil/yr for health care? Are they all that sickly and need to have weekly transplants? For that price, they should all be much more attractive and the adults, at least, should have had brain transplants.
