Actually, most of the "degrees" that student loans are paying for nowadays are of the for-profit-"university" ilk. Those loans are also account for something like 80% of the defaults. The for-profit collages push HARD for the kids to take out loans, grossly exaggerate both the degrees worth, and the opportunities that will result. The consequence is that those people who actually graduate, can't get a job that will enable them to payback the loans.
