It's not even up for discussion that the liberal congress, with their affordable lending mandate and Freddie Mac, caused the lesser depression and that big O kept it rolling. Finally, if President's don't cause their own downturn, then we should blame Clinton for the downturn under Bush? What if a second democrat wins the WH next term, and we continue in this depression. Would you finally be willing to blame Obama? Nah, intellectual honesty's a tough pill for lefties to swallow.
