What is it about you, Dr. Sowell. I've read you off and on for maybe 25 years. I just like you. I wish I could have been one of your students (though in a sense, I am). In some ways you seem a bit hard and unyielding, which would rile me a bit initially. Then there is a simple clarity of reason, and a heart of compassion - veiled (albeit thinly). All this endears people to you. Your voice settles cleanly into the mind and soul - avoiding so much wood, hay, and stubble. Because of this you present clarity and courage, yeah, inspiration. Man! it's refreshing. So there it is. I think the for word is character. Thanks for what you do.
