Revolvers generally only hold a maximum of six rounds. She would have been toast because of her inability to stop one man with one shot. It isn't easy, even for trained policemen to accurately shoot under those conditions. Once again-I prefer a shotgun--three perps-three shots--no more perps and still ammo in the magazine.

It seems as though real life examples of guns saving -- rather than taking -- innocent life go largely unreported (or flat-out ignored) in the mainstream media. Therefore, I have decided to post the following must-read story in its entirety (via Cameron Gray):
