i do not remember when they made the change to 'unemployment rate', but ALL polititions use it. we need to get REAL unemployment numbers. i am positive that as soon as the new, 'adjusted' numbers come out, the unemployment rate' will still be 8.1, that 7.8 was just a political ploy to try to make O look good.

kind of a conundrum, but from a legal perspective, i could understand it. HOWEVER, i would believe other religions should file lawsuits for equal time. if all were given equal time, that could work, but only that way. if the schools are only doing this with islam, that is WRONG !?!?

not to mention which--the US is only one heartbeat away from having biden for president, and #3 is harry reid !?!?

one major thing here----gross tax revenues will not increase until the economy gets better. raising taxes on a limited pool will not accomplish any real results, therefore, the only way to begin approaching a balanced budget is to cut spending. BUT-congress and basically all gov't, schools, etc have been on a spending spree for 50 years, and they are stuck, just can't bring hemselves to stop. somehow, we must get this under control beore the process can even begin!?!?

the problem with this numbers deal is--'unemployment rate'---this fiction was invented by the polititians so the real unemployment 'wouldn't look so bad'. we need to see REAL numbers--exactly how many are working, how many are drawing unemployment comp, how many have fallen off the radar--unemployment benefits have run out, etc. various numbers are floating around, true unemployment is somewhere between 14 and 20%. i think it would be a better deal if we could see real numbers on this.

unemployment 'rate' may be below 8%, the vast majority of people are too ignorant to understand that true unemployment is aproaching 20%-highest since the Great Depression. i have been here long enough to rememberr ike, i was in high school when kennedy was shot. if King O happens to 'win' this election, i will leave this country real fast.
