Raul, I hate to point out the obvious, but you asked for an answer, so here goes. When my ancestors fought against tyranny in the Revolutionary War, they were not soldiers, nor part of a militia. They were farmers, cobblers, black smiths, doctors, teachers and the like. They recognized tyranny and took up arms to form a militia. A very rag-tag, unorganized (compared to the British Army's standards) militia. They put that provision of "shall not be infringed" in, knowing that if the citizens ever needed to defend themselves, a new group of accountants, doctors, farmers, teachers, well you get the point, don't you?????
I hope so. I live in Dallas.
If the Federal govt. wants to withhold federal dollars until they comply...that's fine...we will withold federal revenue...
There is not an example in history where gun control curbed gun violence. Let's look at experiments: 1. Chicago + increase in gun deaths. Washington D.C. + increase in gun deaths. Let's name all of the great places that took away gun rights, then exterminated people. Hitler, Stalin....England and Australia have created a defenseless population. England has many now that want to implement Sharia law. Good luck Brits. I'm a nice, harmless person, a work at home mom of two, and say, "COME AND TAKE IT". If he issues an executive order, it should be treated BY ALL republicans in congress as an illegal executive order and they should publicly tell their states that we will NOT allow it to be inforced in our district/state.
I am sick and tired of sympathy for the "poor debtors" who caused this mess. There are occasions when BK makes sense, but by in large, it is being used as an OUT for irresponsible borrowers. I say crack the BK whip. Take back cars or any assets that do not involve family photos or the clothes on their back. We are allowing them to come into the court room and in many cases wipe out thousands or hundreds of thousands (when a home or business is involved). I don't feel bad if we take their car. They can go buy a $2000 beater or take the bus while they are being given a "fresh start" on everyone elses dime.
Depending on the type of BK you are filing, wither liquidation or reorganization, I think the author is referring to the stricter limits on BK which appear to be affecting the poor filers. I believe that many BK rules which were already in force are now being enforced under the Obama administration for recent BK filers. Although I don't think they should target the poor, this is the 1 thing B.O. is doing right. Our country should have been tough on Bk filers all along. Too many people live beyond their means, rack up debt, then file BK. Enough with it. It hurts everyone. When they default on their credit cards, the good guys get fees and interest rate hikes. We should go back to debtors prison.
Just did. Emailed my congress person.

Madison Avenue's Moral Madness

His contract. When he started on this show, he was just a young boy, no doubtedly signed up under contract by his parents/gaurdians. With that said, 19 is actually pretty young to decide he objects to promoting filth. Yes, he is a bit of a hypocrite, but at least he is attempting to distance himself from the behaviors encouraged by the show.

I realize that this does make Angus a bit of a hypocrite, HOWEVER...It seems to me that his religous awakening has recently occured in the last year or so when he started to be convicted about the behaviors being encouraged on the show. He is under contract and is free to NOT renew at the next term. If I recall, there was a period of time when Kirk Cameron started "objecting" to the scenes and themes being encouraged by Growing Pains, such as the implication that his T.V. girlfriend was "spending the night" at a young college mans house, which he thought encouraged premarittal sex. It obviously does make light of engaining in sex outside of marriage and Kirk objected to it. If Angus is seriously convicted, let's see if he renews.
