Has anyone calculated the number of mass shootings before the government enforced so many gun control laws and after they did so..... Personally I don't remember any shooting massacres in America till the last 30 years more or less...I think the current gun laws that disarmed America may be one of the reasons there are massacres now...It is just too easy for criminals, crazies and terrorists to shoot sitting ducks...

I can remember when us boys used to carry our rifles and shotguns to School during Hunting Season and store them in our lockers until after School to go Hunting.

Never heard of ANY incidents then about accidents or mass killings?

I often reflect back on my school days when hearing of these rampages. We would load up the old station wagon with our guns and go hunting after school. I don't remember any OK CORAL shootem ups occurring in the parking lot. It all comes down to "COMMON SENSE". A sorely lacking attribute in today's society. That is why I always encourage my son and his friends to exert their second amendment rights now that most have come of age to own firearms.

I would venture to guess that the folks filing in to see the latest Batman installment in Aurora, Colorado last Thursday evening didn’t figure on over 70 of them getting shot before the credits rolled. The last count I received before filing this column was 12 dead and 59 wounded.
