While in the process of losing our home due to out of pocket medical costs and $4/gallon gasoline, I had to ask myself:

"Why am I sending $1000's of dollars of income tax to Washington and the state, and then borrowing $1000's to pay medical bills???

It occurs to me that if govt truly wants to make health care more affordable, one step that could be utilized is for citizens to use their income tax dollars to pay their medical expenses! Its quick. Its honsest. (WE WORK FOR IT, THEY DON'T) It doesn't require new office buildings filled with countless employees with terrific federal wages, medical and retirement benefits, etc. It would be one more line (a deduction) on out tax forms. The deduction would be taken AFTER...
