I saw a map of the electoral vote if only white males could vote. Romney would have won in a landslide. Now I know why they didn't let women and blacks vote. The reality is if only landowners could vote, the people getting all the freebies couldn't vote themselves more and more government benefits.

No-one on the dole should be allowed to vote, it's a conflict of interest. Handing out OUR money to buy votes can be stopped very easily, just re-register everyone and issue photo ID, then cross check the voter rolls with the welfare rolls..disallow anyone on the dole. But the real question is what Republicans should do with this truth.

There are two responses.

The nearly universal response -- meaning the response offered by the liberal media and liberal academics (and some Republicans) -- is that the Republican Party needs to rethink its positions, moving away from conservatism and toward the political center.
