If the Conservative movement is over, so is the United States of America. Liberalism did not build this nation, and liberalism, especially the extreme socialistic brand advocated by BHO, will not sustain it. The economy can not prosper under the tremendous taxation and regulation this man loves. In fact, this form of government is toxic to the economy and when the economy fails, so does the Republic. Homosexual marriage, amnesty for illegals, and abortion rights may make the left feel giddy, but when the economy continues its crash and there is no answer from the brain trust in Washington, we'll see how long the party lasts.

There is no point in spinning -- conservatives need to face honestly what this election means.

A first take: Gov. Mitt Romney tried to win while leaning on only one leg of the old Reagan coalition: jobs, jobs, jobs, economy, economy, economy. Against a president with a poor record on the economy, he lost.

The Mitch Daniels "truce" strategy on social issues is a clear loser in this election. The Reagan coalition, which honestly may not be the pathway to victory moving forward, had three legs: values issues, national defense and economic growth.
