Ms. Marsden - You wrote "Is it too much to ask that every person wanting to possess a firearm be subject to a battery of tests -- everything from intelligence and emotional quotient exams to a psychological evaluation and background check? " Did you miss the FACT that he did not purchase the weapons himself, that he a) murdered his mother (broke a law), b) stole the weapons (broke another law), c) carried the guns on to school property (broke YET ANOTHER LAW, I could go on with 38 more times he broke the law). How, exactly, would "every person wanting to possess a firearm be subject to a battery of tests" have stopped him????? He broke the law 41 times, he was not concerned with following any laws.
Atheists love to call Christians irrational. Look at who is more irrational - they are still obsessed with eradicating anything to do with a man who walked the planet 2 thousand years ago WHO THEY DON'T EVEN BELIEVE IN!!! Whats next? Oh, we need to get rid of unicorns, we have to do away with the unicorns!! (Thanks Brad Stine.)
No, without the Cross and the empty tomb, there is no Christmas. Without those, Christmas is just another birthday celebration.
Even better, they believe the cloud just materialized out of nothing.
I should let my pastor know she has a limo, she is going to be ecstatic that she can ditch her 10 year old mini-van. I can send the bill to you, right WhoKnows????
Seawolf - With this statement, " as long as they stay away from trying to influence public policy" it shows you know little of how our once great country was founded. You should learn, then learn how our country started in decline when the church STOPPED influencing public policy. We need more church influence, not less.
lukemcire - Part of the outcome is what is taught about the proper way to dress for work. Your liberal mush-mind can't comprehend it, but if your child is taught that there is no standard for decency and professionalism, they grow up being McDonald's fry cooks. Oh, wait, that's what liberals want. You're what is wrong with America - it is not a free-for-all where ANYTHING goes. If that is what you want, renounce your citizenship and go start your own country. If you liberals keep trying to destroy America you're going to find the same problem that is often mistakenly attributed to Isoroku Yamamoto.
I just had this argument with a self-professed "atheist". I contended that atheists are atheists because they are afraid of being punished for their lifestyle and lack of morals, that they would not be able to live their life like they currently do if they accepted the fact that God exists and we are accountable to him. There was no return argument other than "That's crazy."

The Economy in 2015 Might Shock You

Hey Xtra, if you understood economies you would understand why Clinton had surpluses and why the economy started tanking under Bush. Ever hear of the Dot Com bubble? Which Clinton had the luxury of using to build the coffers during his presidency? He also used accounting tricks to manipulate the budget to show surpluses where none existed. I believe Reagan said it best - "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so."

Mark S wrote - " It also ensures that everybody pays SOMETHING, not like the current system where 47% of taxpayers pay NOTHING in federal taxes and the rest of us have to support them. " And THAT is why it will never pass. Everyone is abandoning Romney for his comments about Obama winning because of gifts. He did. He won because of the gift of no taxes for a percentage of the American people that will always vote for the party that promises no taxes. If tomorrow the Democrats started pushing for all Americans to pay a portion of the tax bill and Republicans started pushing for just the rich to pay more so the moochers didn't have to, the Republicans would be swept into office.

Romney and Ryan Turn the Tables on Obama

For all of you liberals that are against Ryan's plan because of "vouchers", you do know (because you have done your own research, right?) that part of Medicare is already a voucher system? Medicare Part C is a voucher system. It lets you find a plan that fits your needs - you know CHOICE. How come for liberals choice is fine when it comes to killing unborn children but it is never a choice in things like school, health insurance, etc.
