The government has to do something about the cost of insurance said my son-in-law and his mother to me 10 years ago. My snickered at reply: " Anything the government does to fix health insurance will cost double and produce half!" Am I a prophet? Not even! But I do read history.

Nearly everything the government controls is or has failed, just look at Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Post Office they all are going broke. Look at the national debt, annual deficits, the failure to even pass a budget (which they would have ignored) over the past four years, the rsistence to pass a balanced budget amendment, the practice of borrowing 46 cents of every dollar the government spends. Look at the Dept of Education and what it costs, it has done nothing to improve education. The same can be said for the Dept's of Energy and Transportation. Glutted with gov employees and producing nothing.
