5 Ways Liberals Hurt The Poor

One of the easiest ways to reduce the illegal population is to reverse the court decision that anyone born on U.S. soil is an American citizen. We are one of only Three industrialized nations that have this practice. A child born here should retain the citizen ship of the parents. This simple act would immediately reduce the number of immigrants coming here in order to have there children become instant citizens at birth and therefore instantly eligible for Welfare benefits such as food stamps and Medicaid. At least where I live, there is a very large illegal population that is living on the food stamps of the children. The laws state that illegals are not eligible for these benefits, other than emergency medical assistance. But they have free medical care for their children, which saves them a lot of money that most citizens can't save, and the whole family can survive on the food stamps meant only for the children, or easily supplemented with the under the table income never reported.
Just clarifying the argument. Cash cannot be withdrawn from Food Stamp benefits at an ATM. Period. I am not saying that there are not ways around it but it cannot happen at an ATM because of the programming. The laws are enforced, just not to the degree that they could be. You are correct that there are those in government that do not want to enforce certain laws. Again, just clarify the argument. It is not Food Stamp money that is being taken in cash at ATM's.
Not as hard as you think. There are ways around every rule and it is pretty simple. As posted above, Food Stamp benefits cannot be taken in cash. It is other program benefits that are also deposited to the EBT card that allow cash withdrawals.
There are regulations to do just that. Individuals can be disqualified from the Food Stamp program for purchasing anything that is not authorized to be purchased with Food Stamp benefits. Other programs also deposit funds to EBT cards that allow for cash withdrawal. Those program have there own rules but none allow for the funds to be used for illegal purposes.
It is against federal and state regulations to purchase drugs with Food Stamp benefits. There are other programs that also deposit the benefits to an EBT card. No Food Stamp benefits can be withdrawn in the form of cash. Just because an EBT card is used does not mean it is Food Stamp money. I am not saying that any public assistance funds should be used to purchase drugs, I am just trying to clarify the argument. Some programs allow for cash to be withdrawn from the EBT card to be used for anything the individual needs such as paying rent, buying cloths, etc.

Lies the Dems Tell Themselves

I believe that it is possible that the plan was designed to fail from the beginning so they could claim the only real answer is going to single payer/universal health care. Any lie will do to achieve the ultimate goal.
Humans/human nature in general.
Darby, that is exactly why we are in the mess that we are in. I agree that conservatives must unite but it does not help to keep supporting a "political party" that has stopped listening to their conservative base. Keeping them in power because we fear the other side just feeds their power. If there is little difference between the two parties, what does it matter which one is "leading". Evil = evil = evil...........We cannot rid the world of evil but we must not submit to it out of ignorance.
PR equals sales based on emotion and then justifying with logic and reason. If you start with logic and reason in the bounds of limits to power, then emotional manipulation is lessened. There must be limits to power or logic and reason are defined by those in power. Humans have real issues with understanding the difference.
This is the kind of thinking that keeps the republican party as a democratic party lite. Voting the lesser of evils is still evil. Holding on to the hope that the republicans will some day figure it out is nothing but a dream. Party politics is about power and money not about doing what they supposedly stand for. It is marketing and advertising. Both parties only have to work to get the swing voters. They don't have to satisfy their base if we refuse to hold them accountable.
