Yes there were several killings in Puerto Penasco. It was determined that none of the victims were residents nor were the perps. The victims were in Penasco on vacation. It is a fact that Sonora will go to great lengths to keep Penasco free of future violence and there has been a significant expansion of police presence as a result of the shooting last July.
