Is this not the next "logical" step as the financial farce plays out? There is debt and all that is necessary to satisfy that debt is to create and value the proper instrument. With the government approach to accounting it should be no problem posting whatever is needed as an asset to offset that debt. We can create an account called "Air" and define it as the air which occupies the space above all govt owned land. Of course all Air in private hands would be deemed as counterfeit or perhaps just "adjusted"

Part of the Caroline chain of islands Yap was first a colony of Spain before Germany took control. The island had many unique qualities, including its people, dress, caste system, and money. In fact, to this day Yap (now part of federation of Micronesian countries) is probably best known for their currency and scuba diving.
