Oil Consumption Analysis

More articles on financial analysis on this subject. I think conditions now exist to provide momentum so it will accelerate.and the new entry level job will be the care and feeding of a number of these entities similar to the automated checkout stations in retail sales. An excellent example of bad governance driving a positive solution.
I don't see this as a showdown. The cuts are law and without modifications taking place prior to March 1st, will be implemented. The danger in the speaker's comment is his willingness to entertain equivalent cuts to replace those spelled out in law as it becomes someone's determination of the validity of that equivalence. This sequestor was Obama's plan and he owns it so just let it go through.
Just the tip of the iceberg that is coming to the 40 hour work week. I think that we can now assume that the pace of introduction of robot replacements will accelerate. A prime target should be the education system where significant potential upside exists as a result of the failure of the current system. The 28 hour work week will become a reality for those who manage to keep a job and professionals will migrate towards "independent contractor" status. Very interesting times are coming.

Perhaps a concerted deliberate effort to inflict financial damage would bring them around but to do that we must think strategically. We need to stop playing checkers and start playing chess, the game of castles is not for lightweights.

55 million dead babies - Mao and his admirers would be (and are) proud. We talk about violence in movies, games, and Chicago but neglect the effects of the reality of this abomination and its affect on our culture. We give permission for the killing of babies and bemoan 20 children shot by a product of this society and since blame is required we apply it to a tool rather than face the inconvenient truth of a society which has accepted and applauded the killing of these millions of defenseless babies. Life is trivial in this country.
Mike Shedlock'a column today foretells what is facing all western governments. Minimum wage laws? No problem, purchase a robot for the job. Union manufacturing jobs and their high cost? No problem, purchase a robot for the job. Teacher union issues?, Purchase robot instructors, problem solved. Receptionists & front desk personnel - check out U-Tube, they will be gone in a couple of years.Very exciting times are on the horizon.
Doesn't this actually add pressure for replacement of the current tax code with a consumption based model? In this article the emphasis is on manufacturing but in reality, it is the tip of the spear that I think will skewer many different parts of the working model. Personally, I've been looking for a couple of years now on ways of replacing the front desk personnel at the two resorts my company manages and I believe that will be a safe an effective alternative in the next two to three years. My final observation is for Krugman, a prime example of retro thinking.
Is this a circular argument? People voting to raise others' taxes instead of their own or the acceptance and validity of this opportunity being on the ballot. Presumably there were two separate motions, one for general sales tax and one to raise the top end of marginal rates and the results were certainly predictable. Obama made a point of the (past) fact of the nation comprising 2 pct of world population accounting for 25 pct of world consumption. What was not said was the other side where 2 pct accounted for 25 pct of world economy. Fairness to Obama is 2 pct population is equal to 2 pct of total economic activity.
Yes there were several killings in Puerto Penasco. It was determined that none of the victims were residents nor were the perps. The victims were in Penasco on vacation. It is a fact that Sonora will go to great lengths to keep Penasco free of future violence and there has been a significant expansion of police presence as a result of the shooting last July.
Discussion with a teacher last night on administrative mindset where principal refers to parents as customers. It is an aspect of charter schools becoming a threat to the public sector education machine that I take as a positive. At least the competitive component. Unfortunately, the response to the competition is the demand for more metrics from the teacher to be used in increased positive reports (spin) designed to maintain status quo. This school district has now changed its school year to begin on July 12th and end on June 14 as a further response to the success of the charter schools in gaining "customers". The characterization of students as customers results from the Federal funding model of dollars per pupil with the district doin

Is the market, and those participating, decoupled from the reality of Washington with its obvious ineptness. Is this the beginning of a bubble as the 3 trillion you mention begins to move? One of the byproducts of the French Revolution was the execution of the majority of experienced French navel sea captains. This also resulted in (or made much easier) the English dominance of the seas during the Napoleonic wars.
