I say go ahead and put it all on TV. Let the American people see what the discussions are, so that we are more informed about who is blocking some good decisions.

Actually, rich people do get freebies. They are called subsidies. Take for example the oil subsidies. If they can make billions of dollars in profits, they really don't' need more incentives. This is but one example among many others. Another incentive that is often overlooked is the incentive to invest in other countries to retain a greater profit margin. Tax them at 91% on all imports, then give them tax breaks for hiring and manufacturing here, in the US. Norquist, btw, is nothing but a troll.

Actually, spending is out of control. However, we should understand that spending is only going to get worse with additional rises in interest rates. The more important decisions to be made are not necessarily in entitlements, but in the clandestine budget, the budget that is kept off the books. These budgets are becoming overbearing and are mostly redundant, at best. We need to be grown ups about this topic, as well as others.
Its also interesting to note that the same Republican leadership also asked the Obama Administration and the Senate to pass the Ryan Budget Proposal. The Senate rejected his proposal as being something of an ideological scheme rather than a serious offer. Are people ready to really start talking like grown ups and start eliminating redundant and useless agencies. like the DEA, ATF, DHS, FDA, FEMA, The Department of Forks, the Department of Spoons, The Department of knives, the Department of National Intelligence, The Department of Energy, The Department of Education, etc? NO, because we all have pet projects we like. We can also demand curbing the clandestine funds, but no we won't because we aren't grownup enough to do so. Adults NOW
