Obama’s Excesses and Shared Sacrifice

Brittany, America does care. There are millions of us that suffer and mourn over what is happening. But what voice do we have? We jump on these blogs and vent our frustrations, but who read them? Others like us. We are preaching to the choir. While our one and only voice (the vote) who elected people to represent us do nothing. Our representatives, John McCain, John Boehner, Mitch McConnel, and others make noises but are ineffective in stopping Obama and his minions from destroying this country and robbing the freedoms of the American people. Obama is governing by Fiat and no one is doing anything about it. He has, in fact, become a facile Dictator.

Liberals Ready to Fire Eric Holder

Anyone who thinks Holder is acting independently of Obama is a fool. He is only doing what he is ordered to do. The real fault lies with BHO.

The Continuing Wimpification of America

And who decides what is bad for us? That is the rub. I personally think liberals, Democrats, leftists are bad for us. Should we ban them as well? Now that's not a bad idea.
All the pontificating we do on this and other blogs is useless. We all wax lyrically about how we would do things differently, on what must be done to correct the problems, on who is and who is not right. I have never seen so many "experts" on every issue as we are. The problem is; none of us are in power; and even if we were, I doubt we would be so smart then. The problem is that there is no real true patriots that will stand against the establishment that has created a government that is no longer for the people. The problem is that there are many more people (in truth) that want government to take care of them than there are individuals who want to be independent. We are no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Banning of any weapon does not solve the problem of people killing people. If one can't be trusted with an AR15 for example, how can we trust them with a 9mm handgun or a .38 revolver, regardless of how many cartridges it holds. That almost sounds like we're saying, "it's OK to kill people with a 6 shot revolver, because you won't kill as many as you would with an AR15". The crux of the problem is not guns, it is people. We have bred a society of malcontents who take offense to any little thing they wish and feel they can seek revenge. Until our society returns to the moral values expressed my Judeo-Christian doctrine this problem will never be solved. Like the Front Sight motto says "You are the weapon, the gun is only a tool."

Support for Dorner is Troubling

What is the cause of so many people performing evil acts, and so many others cheering them on? Why does a nation of people known for their generosity and assistance all over the world degenerate into a pack of savages and wild wolves. There is only one explanation! Our nation has lost its moral code. It has lost its founding principles. Call it what you wish - - - Judeo-Christian principles, belief in God, peace and good will toward all men - - - it is evil that is spreading throughout the nation, no; even the world, which is causing this mass migration toward oblivion and destruction. Evil, pure evil, which takes on the face of corruption, immorality, dishonesty, political correctness, rules the world today.
Now mind you, I'm not writing this to accuse but to advance understanding. One of the major reasons Romney lost was, as you stated in your article, many "Christians" (and I use the term loosely) wouldn't vote for him because he was Mormon. That is akin to voting for Obama because he is black. You, as many others, did your best to put Romney down early in the campaign. The Tea Party all but campaigned against him throughout the campaign. When will people learn that all elections are choices between the lesser of two evils, or put it another way "the best of two individuals" whichever way you want to put it. This year, more than any year in history, the choice was clear and we blew it.
The only problem with Larry's examples were that the good guys had to run to their cars to get their guns. A lot of damage could have been done by the time they did that. If they were allowed to carry them the job could have been done much faster. When will we ever learn?
VickyD4Liberty, you have no idea what you are talking about. There never was, or has been, the practice of cutting the skin in the Mormon Temples, nor are there any Demonic symbols in the Temples. TheTemples are a sacred place where man makes sacred covenants with his God, such as to be honest, chaste, trustworthy, to treat his fellow man well, etc. The Temples are the one pure place where man can escape the ugly and evil ways of the world, at least for a moment, and renew his faith and covenants with his God. The Temple is a place of beauty and peace. Please don't denigrate something you know nothing about.

Mormon Doctrine Leads to Socialism?

rpapa Wrote: May 09, 2012 6:25 PM
To link Mormonism with Socialism is so wrong. The Book of Mormon admonishes the people to treat the poor kindly and take care of them. The difference between this and Socialism is the Book of Mormon advocates doing this voluntary and out of love and friendship. Socialism advocates forced redistribution and is controlled by the government, not the individual. Further the Book of Mormon decries greediness, whether by corporations or individuals. If the world lived by the precepts of the Bible and the Book of Mormon it would be a wonderful place - - - even Heaven.
