I keep telling Republicans: It's the media, stupid. Republicans have to have a more confrontational approach to CNN, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC. They have to get into these people's faces and let them know that they are not stupid. They have to confront the anchors and reporters live on national television and challenge them to change the narrative. If that doesn't work then start a boycott of these stations and let them look foolish carrying on with their one sided coverage.

"First you win the argument -- then you win the vote," is the now well-known quote from Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. President Ronald Reagan was the last Republican president who understood and used that strategy.

President Barack Obama and his team also understand the phrase and are using it to their advantage. They are making a full-court press in the public arena to lay out their argument against sequestration and for more taxes.
