If you had read the article carefully, you would realize that she was blaming the fact that we no longer keep mentally ill people institutionalized, but rather attempt to mainline them. She could also have mentioned the tragic deaths of some mentally ill people killed by police who were called for help in controlling them.

I just wish we could quit pining away for a return of Reagan and weeping huge tears about George W.'s legacy and concentrate on finding a candidate with smarts, charisma, and balls to run in 2016. The time is now to begin prepping for the next election, not re-hashing the just-lost election over and over.

John, I'm pretty sure that the leaks in the cooling system would have caused the shorts in the electrical system, which caused the fires, rather than the shorts causing the leaks which caused the fires. Try being accurate and proofing your material before publication, please.

The way that Obama plans to make solar competitive with coal energy is by regulating the coal industry to the point that it becomes prohibitively expensive or simple dies. His stated objective was said to be to make coal energy too expensive to survive. (not a direct quote). Further, it is and has been apparent for some time to me that for new sources of energy to become viable will require government support because no businessman in his right mind would invest in development unless he could see profitability somewhere ahead.
