The process that we are going through in order to select the next GOP presidential candidate is a necessary process. Don't let the news media with all it's polls make the selection for you. The payroll tax cut is a bad idea. However, if you were going to limit the funding for social security in order to create more jobs, you would cut the employer's portion of the tax rather than the employee's portion. Obama is simply buying votes. This country is on an accelerated path to self destruction since Obama took office. Everyone should question the intent of a President who is orchestrating our country's demise. The lack of opposition from the republicans illustrates their complicity. It may be time for an overall cleaning out of the Washington establishment. This country is in desperate need for new officers of representation who are common sense patriots and true statesmen. PS to my initial thoughts! It is confusing to me that Glen Beck has come out so strongly against Newt. He may have another dog in the hunt, but his strong claim that Newt is a progressive does worry me a bit.

Newt is not perfect. We got a perfect man for the job in Obama (tongue in cheek). Obviously, perfect is not what is needed! Newt is the closest thing to an intelligent patriotic statesman that we have on the ticket that is willing to apply common sense and historical perspective to today's problems.
