In response to:

the Lost Promise of Barack Obama

Simple answer: Whenever I try to figure Obama and his actions out, I just go back to this one touchstone: HE IS A CONMAN, simple enough. Read up on conmen AND their victims--what makes them both what they are and how they act--and you'll see. That one premise makes sense of it all. I often think if 54% of American voters would fall for the OBAMACON, no wonder that Nigerian who wants to give you 10 million dollars (because he likes your e-mail address) hooks so many suckers.

Personally, I blame the 53% of the American voters who put that malignant fraud in the White House.

Obama's Greatest Fear

Like all conmen, Obama's greatest fear is simply getting exposed as a fraud and liar. Little by little his fear is coming true.

Give me an option, say, The Conservative States of America and my house goes on the market and the moving van called today.

Labor Day - I'm Not Celebrating

Although now retired and on honorary withdrawals, during my 34-year career I did indeed belong to SEVEN unions (all in the private sector, by the way). As I doubt anyone else on this blog can claim that, I think my experience gives me a unique perspective.

I can tell you my unions were all jokes, lumbering, self-limiting, crooked, and onerous to me as an ambitious worker. They were champions, not of the worker, but of mediocrity and hypocrisy. They were an anchor to initiative and fair competition.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that ultimately I would have been better off in all aspects of my work, wages and benefits included, if my workplaces had NOT been unionized. And I KNOW the companies I worked for...

There would hardly be any point in our forefathers creating an amendment that protected polite, uncontroversial, or complimentary speech, now would there?

Consequences of the Liberals' Death Wish

I have thought the WHOLE COUNTRY has had a death wish since 2006.

It will be gradual, but the wish will be granted.

On Climate, Bad News Will Resume

for doubting Global Warming, against all evidence.

I am witnessing irrefutable proof. I am looking out my widow right now and nothing could be more obvious than the temperature is cooling. I can see my breath at night. The grass in my lawn is dying. Flowers are turning a sad, sad brown and falling to earth. Leaves are succumbing to acid rain (or something like that)and plummeting temperatures and pathetically zigzagging to an earthly grave. Birds are flying south. I haven't seen a hummingbird in weeks. The skies are definitely grayer than a couple months ago, too.

The world is clearly doomed.

If only I had bought a Prius.
