the only reason the unemployment rate is down is because more people are not being counted. Do you see jobs created in your lives? In our tiny business we once had 6 employees now we have 4. 2 went back to school and we did not replace them as we do not have the revenue any more. These two guy are so out of it and so wedded to their visions that they miss reality.

One result of higher unemployment is less money coming into the collection plates at churches. I am employed by a church as a custodian and throughout the Obama administration we have seen steady declines in giving to the point where I have been afraid for my job for at least 2 years now. I have been asked to keep my hours under 40. On the surfance this seems "oh well who cares" but churches like mine support social services in the form of non-profit orgs. This results in cutbacks and an increase in dependancy on the governments to support orphanages, drug rehabs and children's homes for troubled teens etc.

Many of you have been looking forward to this moment for months, and here we are.  With Team Obama flailing, will the experienced Biden beat expectations and stready the ship a bit, or will young gun Paul Ryan hold his own and build momentum for the GOP ticket?  We'll have live coverage and full analysis below; you're welcome to add your running thoughts in the comments section.  Get ready, get set, Slow Joe:
