These are types who love "the people" as an abstract, and see themselves as very important and godly for it, but they hate, absolutely hate, actual people.

I find that these "regulator" types--those who would lord it over the rest of us and tell us how whatever we're doing is "wrong"--are a most insidious bunch. They infest every level of government--and especially thrive in your local "homeowners' association". They love nothing more than to enact "rules" over others, and to rigorously enforce those rules upon others.

And at EPA, they are a problem writ LARGE. They want control over us all--and this pipsqueak EPA administrator was caught in a rare moment of truth-telling. I'm quite certain he meant every word, and that his is the operating philosophy over at EPA.

These control freaks must be stuffed back in their corner, and ignored thereafter.

In case you missed it: earlier this week, Sen. Jim Inhofe's office unearthed this little gem, in which an EPA regional administrator recklessly revealed the independent agency's true philosophy.

As Sen. Inhofe pointed out on the floor: it's nice to have such explicit confirmation, but we all knew that this was the Obama administration's true agenda all along.
