That thesis was debunked long ago. Every human being is precious and endowed by its Creator with a Mind that is capable of solving even the most complex of problems. The difficulty with government's making all decisions is that the knowledge to solve those problems is dispersed among the population. Even the most brilliant of officials (and that's assuming they are brilliant except at getting elected or appointed) cannot possibly be aware of all the variables. Free the people to make their own decisions and get out of the way of progress and abundance that will follow.

Pardon me, William Gossett, but from where did you hear that we should reinstitute slavery, that the 1857 Dred Scott decision which legalized slavery was never officially reversed, or that we should disenfranchise the underclass and send it back to 2nd class status?
