He was forced out for having the wrong opinion. So the money factor was a result, not a cause.

Lately I've noticed that Dr. Sowell is well, taking the gloves off. He seems to be really fed up and really concerned for this country. He's a wise man that's been around long enough to see through the media and the politicians to the truth. And it ain't pretty. I don't see how we cure all this.

On a local scale, I experienced this. We created an historic district in our town by writing up proposed rules, allowing the people within the proposed district to help write those rules and approve them. After approval, the "rules" were specifically written out by the local governmental bureaucrats that would administer this district. There were some major changes! It was a real eye opener to me. In addition, when this was adopted the local Historic Preservation Board had to come under all kinds of rules that changed it from a flexible, "we want to work with you" kind of group, to a very rigid, inflexible," I'll tell you what's what and you keep your mouth shut", group.

Remember the ALAR scare? We do. We live in WA state where lots of apples are grown...yes, this state has more than tech companies, Boeing, and rain. And we have environmental whacko's here that want to remove the dams and sue in court and then have a judge rule after hearing pseudo science galore. BS is killing us!

Obamacare Propaganda in TV Scripts?

I wouldn't be so sure. They did indeed succeed with gay acceptance and gay marriage through television and movies. But Obamacare has hit many in the pocket or changed their coverage into something they don't like.

Isn't it strange that it's called feminism when the ideology of the movement is more about being masculine. Unfortunately, women are just as susceptible to the lure of fame and power as men, and once we gained a reasonable respect for our brains and abilities to contribute in the work place, the leaders of the movement couldn't give up the fame and glory. And they were fooled into thinking women are just like men instead of being confident in the difference.

On the shouting match comment....Did you mean the way Hannity and O'Reilly and others don't let people finish a sentence, and how sometimes I can't tell what anyone is saying because they are all talking at once? How about a conservative show that is conducted more like a discussion between 2 reasonable people. And yes, lets hear lots more from top notch thinkers like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams etc.

How many stars of Hollywood have car collections, much less just a Mercedes or perhaps a Rolls. Hollywood has some of the most self righteous elitist in the known universe and every day, millions of Americans listen raptly to what these people espouse on the daily talk shows. It's nuts. Then they vote for more elitist to keep sockin it to em. More NUTS!
