I am a conservative native Pennsylvanian who has lived most of my life in Hawaii and California. I'm quite accustomed to being a part of the political minority. One of my greatest pleasures in life was to see Republican Linda Lingle become governor of Hawaii. Another huge pleasure would be to see Romney carry Pennsylvania next week.

Before we get to the internals, notice the basic trend line.  This month, Mitt Romney broke into the mid-40s, while Obama dropped back into in the upper 40s.  Remember a political rule of thumb: An incumbent with universal name recognition who is polling below 50 percent is typically seen as vulnerable.
