I just got a great idea. Have the union guys design the cars, since they hated the engineers so much they cut their benefits drastically. That is what happens when legalized extortion gets to rule.

Yea, there's a car I would put my family in!! I live in Michigan, I know guys on the line. You sure don't want THEM engineering cars! They talk a big line, but man, most of them can't find their own way home! These guys have been filmed drinking 40 oz beers on lunch and going back to work! Cant imagine what THEY would design. Over the weekend General Motors fought back against critics who have been all over the company after published reports say that the government-subsidized car company is spending as much as $90,000 to produce the “breakthrough” electric car, the Chevy Volt. The Volt retails for only $40,000.

Although the company refused to release figures regarding Volt production costs, UPI quotes the company as saying that critics have "allocated product development costs across the number of Volts sold instead of allocating across the lifetime of the program, which is how business operates."
