I just entered this discussion, so please forgive any redundancy. In the case of rape or incest, the innocent baby would be killed, having had no choice as to its fate. The rapist would be allowed to live, at taxpayer expense to the cost of untold hundreds of thousands of dollars. There is absolutely no legal decision that can be made to alleviate the total humiliation and violation of the rape victim. If the baby is killed, then there is the attending guilt of the mother, and there is guilt, unless she is totally hardened to the truth. In life, there are just some things that cannot be repaired without the help of God, but better to seek that help than to commit one atrocity to try to correct another. Give up the baby for adoption.
